The Franklin Lions stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Teague 61-22 on the road. The win was just what Franklin needed coming off of a 74-54 defeat in their prior contest.
When it comes to explaining why Teague lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bethanah Owens. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Owens hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 13 straight games.
Franklin pushed their record up to 20-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Teague, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on the Goats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groesbeck will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 736th, while the Lions are ranked 245th). As for Teague, they will head out on the road to take on the Black Cats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
