On Friday, Lookout Valley put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Sunbright 49-8. Lookout Valley were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win (their 4th in a row) raised Lookout Valley's record to 5-3-1. Sunbright are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Lookout Valley will look to defend their home turf next week against South Pittsburg at 8:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Sunbright, they will go up against Unaka. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
