The Pinckney Pirates will face off against the Dexter Dreadnaughts at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Pinckney is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season.
On Monday, Pinckney made easy work of Adrian  and carried off  an  8-2 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Mackenzie Burns made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Burns was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other pitching news,  Jade Chelenyak looked comfortable as she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run but no hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances.
 Burns wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Sydney Arnold, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Dexter was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Lincoln.
 Pinckney pushed their record up to 17-6 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.
