Las Vegas has gone a perfect 4-0 against Amplus Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will challenge the Archers at 6:00 p.m. Las Vegas will be strutting in after a win while Amplus Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Las Vegas took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Chaparral, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cowboys 3-2.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Las Vegas actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Las Vegas can attribute much of their success to Omar Duarte, who had 19 digs, and Kayden Case, who had eight kills, three digs, and two aces. That's the most digs Duarte has posted over his last six matches.
Meanwhile, Amplus Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Liberty.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-13.
Las Vegas' win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Amplus Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's game: Las Vegas has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 4.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Amplus Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Las Vegas beat Amplus Academy 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
