Corinth Holders has gone a perfect 7-0 against South Garner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Corinth Holders has three straight victories, South Garner has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

While Corinth Holders' win against Cleveland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. Give Corinth Holders' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kendall Wells, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, South Garner fell victim to Willow Spring and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Storm. While losing is never fun, South Garner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Willow Spring are ranked 55th).

South Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for Corinth Holders, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-3.

Everything went Corinth Holders' way against South Garner when the teams last played back in March, as Corinth Holders made off with a 6-0 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
