Carver A&T is 0-3 against Towson since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Carver A&T Wildcats will be playing at home against the Towson Generals at 5:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Wednesday, Carver A&T was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to Chesapeake.
Despite the defeat, Carver A&T saw an underclassman step up: Elisah Guity scored 25 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Brandon, who scored five points along with 17 rebounds and three steals.
Towson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their tough 56-35 loss to Linganore on Friday might stick with them for a while. Towson was down 42-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Carver A&T has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Towson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Carver A&T took a serious blow against Towson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 51-22. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Carver A&T was down 28-8.
