Franklinton won against Salmen last Thursday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Demons were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Independence Tigers. Considering the Demons have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklinton's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11. As for Independence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklinton will head out to face off against Ponchatoula at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Demons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence, they will face off against West St. John at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
