Choctawhatchee took  a  three-set  loss the last time they faced off against Niceville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Eagles  3-2 on Wednesday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three  matchups in a row.
 Choctawhatchee wouldn't go down easily and took Niceville into a fifth set  where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 18-25,  15-9.
 Chloe Gunter paced Choctawhatchee's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gunter got some help from  Avery Thigpen and her 29 assists.  Nevaeh Deal controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Despite the loss, Niceville still got an impressive performance from   Janey Elder, who  had six  digs and four  aces.
The  win  got Choctawhatchee back to even at 12-12. As for Niceville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
 Choctawhatchee has already played their next match,  a  3-1  victory against Navarre on the 9th. As for Niceville, they will host Milton  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
