Staley is 0-10 against Lee's Summit West since September 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons will head out to take on the Titans at 6:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Staley didn't have quite enough to beat Lee's Summit and fell 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Staley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 16-25, 27-25, 22-25, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Lee's Summit West came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 15 straight wins, and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.
Staley better keep an eye on Jaelyn Jordan. She was instrumental in Lee's Summit West's win, getting 29 assists, six digs, and two aces. Andi Gardner was another key player, getting 16 digs and two assists.
Staley has now lost seven of their last eight games at home. That's taken a bite out of their 9-20 record this season. As for Lee's Summit West, they have now won eight of their last nine games on the road. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-3 record this season.
Staley might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of Lee's Summit West in their most recent meeting on September 17th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jordan, who had 33 assists, nine digs, and three aces. Now that the Falcons know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
