Everything went their way against Lake Region as Gray-New Gloucester made off with a 83-62 victory. Gray-New Gloucester can attribute much of their success to Nate Hebert, who scored 31 points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Hebert, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
The victory (which was Gray-New Gloucester's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Lake Region, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gray-New Gloucester will take on Marshwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marshwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Gray-New Gloucester is ranked 13th). As for Lake Region, they will head out on the road to face off against Leavitt at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
