The Kennedale Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alvarado. Kennedale has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Alvarado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joslyn Jarmon led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Jarmon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Candra Bridgewater was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Kennedale's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-17. As for Alvarado, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-15 record this season.
Kennedale will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. Alvarado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
