Meanwhile, Ellet beat Mogadore 52-39 on Saturday. Given Ellet's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Mogadore is ranked 478th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holmes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Eren Harmon was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Ellet, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
North was taken down by Ellet 77-38 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holmes, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals.
