The Georgetown G-Men will be playing at home against the Seven Hills Stingers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Georgetown is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Georgetown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Eastern.
Despite the defeat, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Morgan Preston scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Josie Mckibben was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Seven Hills stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 64-23 victory over Cincinnati Christian. Seven Hills pushed the score to 54-23 by the end of the third, a deficit Cincinnati Christian had no chance of recovering from.
Georgetown dropped their record down to 10-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Seven Hills, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
Georgetown didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seven Hills when the teams last played back in February of 2021, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory. Will Georgetown repeat their success, or does Seven Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
