Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Upper Sandusky). They were the clear victors by a 27-3 margin over Carey on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Kenslee Swavel was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Swavel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Madison Wengerd was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with five runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ava Saull was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

Upper Sandusky's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. Upper Sandusky's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Colonel Crawford has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Upper Sandusky, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Colonel Crawford's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Colonel Crawford suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Upper Sandusky in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
