Independence came into Wednesday's   contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the James Lick Comets with a sharp  20-2 victory on Wednesday. The 76ers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Julieta Ramirez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Ramirez was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. She also  got a  hit, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Mackenzy Sauao was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, seven  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  runs marked the first that  she  scored this season. Another player making a difference was  Kayla Shem, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Four bases. while going 3-for-3.
 Independence was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .577. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .312 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
