Lawson never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Maplewood Panthers 15-0. Considering the Lightning have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Hut Hargrove, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jack Gwin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Lawson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Maplewood, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lawson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
