While losing is never fun, Quince Orchard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Damascus is ranked 28th).
When it comes to explaining why Quince Orchard lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evelyn Steele. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
Quince Orchard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Damascus, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Quince Orchard will head out on the road to face off against Blake at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Damascus, they will face off against Paint Branch at TBD on Friday.
