The Beech Grove Hornets will take on the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-West Hendricks took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Beech Grove, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Beech Grove turned things around against Centerville on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their one-run performance the contest before.

| 04/25/26 vs Edgewood | 2 |
Kyrah Pierle spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Harper Moore was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Addison Corn was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Beech Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Tri-West Hendricks fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against McCutcheon on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 4-3. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tri-West Hendricks also let their pitcher toss all 7.2 innings and she was also dialed-in: Natalie Tharp gave up four earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Kacee Trivett and Savannah Neal did some serious damage despite the final result: Trivett went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Neal went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Neal's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Charles, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Tri-West Hendricks' defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Beech Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Beech Grove has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-West Hendricks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Beech Grove might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from Tri-West Hendricks in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
