Thompsonville suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Monday. They took a serious blow against Frankfort, falling 50-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Thompsonville has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Cairo was beaten by Frankfort 76-33 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Cairo has lost by exactly 43 points.
Despite their loss, Cairo saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. McKenlee Pirtle, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jeserick Pilgram, who scored seven points.
Thompsonville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Cairo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.
