The Eastlake Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Patrick Henry Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Eastlake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past San Marcos 11-3. The game was the first time the Titans have beaten the Knights on their field since June 17, 2021.

Beau Covell tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Angel Laya was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kalani Jaurequi, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patrick Henry). Everything went their way against San Marcos on Friday as they made off with an 18-8 win. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Kayden Henson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tyson Bobo was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Salvatore Gagliano also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Patrick Henry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.4.
Eastlake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Patrick Henry, they pushed their record up to 20-8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Eastlake came out on top in a nail-biter against Patrick Henry in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
