Newton had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Tuesday. The Cardinals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 29th (when they won 11-1).

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 5-23. As for Prairie City-Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Newton will venture away from home to square off against Clarke on Monday. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will welcome Knoxville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
