Fort Dale Academy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Monroe Academy Volunteers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 back in February.
Anna Claire Thomas was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bailey Lambert, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
Fort Dale Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Monroe Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
As of now, neither Fort Dale Academy nor the Volunteers have any future games scheduled.
