Columbus and Savannah Arts Academy squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but Columbus had to settle for second. They fell  3-1 to the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
 Columbus started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-19,  25-15.
  Jaslyn Watts and  Emma Cicora certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss.  Watts  had 15  digs and three  aces, while  Cicora  had five  digs and two  aces. Cicora has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more  assists the last 11 times she's  played.
 Among those leading the charge was   Maggie Allen, who  had 22  digs, five  aces,  and a  kill.
 Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 26-21. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 14 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 28-15 record  this season.
 Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Savannah Arts Academy and Morgan County will dust off their jerseys to  take on  one another  on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the  match red-hot, with Morgan County sitting on  seven straight  victories and Savannah Arts Academy on eight.
