Fernando Serna posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Eunice: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Coming up, Serna and Eunice will take on Grady in a tournament on Saturday. Grady will enter the matchup having just beaten Mescalero Apache, so Eunice will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
