The Harlem Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Belvidere North Blue Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harlem is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Harlem earned an 8-3 victory over Belvidere. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Rylie Adams made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Adriah Sholl was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Leah Badgley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Harlem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belvidere North). They put the hurt on Boylan Catholic with a sharp 16-1 victory on Tuesday. The Blue Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
Like Harlem, Belvidere North also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Morris. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Morris was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Belvidere North got a massive performance out of Miley Dobbs, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Hallie Inman, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Harlem's record is now 17-6. As for Belvidere North, their record now sits at 14-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harlem hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Belvidere North struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Harlem couldn't quite finish off Belvidere North in their previous meeting on Thursday and fell 5-3. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
