If Lake Oconee Academy was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of George Walton Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell  2-0 to the Lumpkin County Indians on Thursday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 While Lake Oconee Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17,  25-22.
 Mackenzie King paced Lake Oconee Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. King got some help from  Emma Dimascio and her 15 assists.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Lake Oconee Academy  fell to 5-1. As for Lumpkin County, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-3.
 Coincidentally, Lake Oconee Academy and Lumpkin County will both be playing Flowery Branch the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Falcons at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00  p.m.
