After flying high against the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators last Friday, the Baker Gators came back down to earth. Baker ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-28 walloping at the hands of Jay on Monday. While losing is never fun, Baker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Jay is ranked 72nd).

The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Mcgraw, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Jay found their leader in underclassman Hattie Locklin, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Locklin hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Carleigh Baker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
