After a string of four wins, Jefferson County's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell  5-3 to the Sevier County Smoky Bears. While losing is never fun, Jefferson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Sevier County are ranked 28th).
Jefferson County's  defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6-1. As for Sevier County, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will head out to  square off against Oak Ridge  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Sevier County, they will venture away from home to  face off against Morristown-Hamblen West  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
