Baseball Recap: Browne Victorious

Browne won against Camelback last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Bruins didn't even let the Spartans on the board, marking the Bruins' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

Axel Inzunza was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Browne: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Luis Beltran was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Browne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Browne back to even at 4-4. As for Camelback, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Browne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-2 win against South Mountain on the 1st. As for Camelback, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-0 defeat against Desert Ridge on the 28th.
