Given Blue Springs South's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Blue Springs is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Raymore-Peculiar entered their tilt with Belton with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Raymore-Peculiar came out on top in a nail-biter against Belton on Friday and snuck past 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Raymore-Peculiar has posted against Belton since January 9, 2015.
Blue Springs South has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Raymore-Peculiar, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
