After a string of six wins, the Washington Tech Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 58-32 loss at the hands of St. Paul Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington Tech has scored all season.
St. Paul Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Regina Williams, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Parker, who scored 13 points.
Washington Tech's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for St. Paul Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.
Washington Tech won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Paul Academy-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. St. Paul Academy-Summit is on a three-game streak of home wins, Washington Tech a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. St. Paul Central will take on Minneapolis South at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
