The Pebblebrook Falcons''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Campbell, falling 41-14. Pebblebrook was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Campbell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Pebblebrook lost, one person who can't be blamed is Walter Willis jr. Despite the final result, he picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Campbell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Marble, who threw for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakob Fowler, who gained 37 total yards and two touchdowns.
Pebblebrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Campbell, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pebblebrook will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on East Coweta at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Campbell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Carrollton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
