Baseball Recap: Mt. Rainier Triumphs

The Mt. Rainier Rams got the win against the Lewis & Clark Tigers on Saturday by a conclusive 21-5.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Enghusen, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Rian Eaton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Mt. Rainier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis & Clark only posted an OBP of .452.

Mt. Rainier's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Lewis & Clark, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mt. Rainier and Lewis & Clark will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams will face off against rival Stadium at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lewis & Clark is set to challenge their familiar foe Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
