Whitehaven may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they will take on Germantown at 7:00 PM. Whitehaven know how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Germantown like a good challenge.
While not quite a landslide, the match between Whitehaven and White Station last Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Whitehaven wrapped it up with a 41-24 win. Among those leading the charge for Whitehaven was senior Vincent Guy, who passed for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns. Guy has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, Germantown might be getting used to good results now that the squad has nine wins in a row. They won the game and then some against Memphis Central, taking the game 28-7. Followers of Germantown probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected eight blowout victories.
Their wins bumped Whitehaven to 7-2 and Germantown to 9-0. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
