The Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Olney with a sharp 76-53 win. Given Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Olney is ranked 595th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Science Leadership Academy at Beeber to victory were Jahad Marable and Sa'd Jamdaddin. Marable scored 20 points, while Jamdaddin scored 25 points. Jamdaddin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Johnson, who scored ten points.
Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.9 points per game. As for Olney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Science Leadership Academy at Beeber will challenge Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Carver High School of Engineering & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Monday. As for Olney, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully Olney likes a good challenge.
