The Workman Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 73-55 bruising from Fontana. Even though they lost, Workman's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Workman still got an impressive performance from Aaron Hernandez, who scored 27 points along with 7 steals. Hernandez scored a full 49.1% of Workman's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sammy Contreras was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Workman has fallen quite a ways from their 20-9 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Fontana, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Workman will be playing in front of their home fans against Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fontana, they will head out on the road to face off against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Eisenhower will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while Fontana is ranked 376th).
