The Little Wound Mustangs fell to the Lower Brule Sioux 79-67 when the two teams previously met in February of last year; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Little Wound walked away with a 57-50 victory this past Thursday. The success made it back-to-back wins for them.
The win got the Mustangs back to even at 12-12. Lower Brule's overall record fell to 14-10.
Little Wound is staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Pine Ridge. Like Little Wound, Pine Ridge is also coming into the game bolstered by a recent win. As for Lower Brule, Lower Brule and Sully Buttes will go head to head on Tuesday in their first playoff contest of the year. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close matchup.
