The Oswego East Wolves have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Lakota West Firebirds at 10:00  a.m.  on Monday. Oswego East will be strutting in after a  win while Lakota West will be coming in after a  loss.
 Oswego East proved they can win big  last Saturday (they won by seven) but  last Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  10-8  victory over Bolingbrook.
 Oswego East got a great performance from  Allie Gatz as she  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and six unearned) runs off   five  hits.  Nicole Stone picked up the save,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ryenne Sinta, who  went 1-for-1 with three  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Finley Anderson, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Lakota West kicked off their season on the road  on Sunday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a  tough 13-3 defeat at the hands of Mount Juliet. Lakota West has not had much luck with Mount Juliet recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Oswego East now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lakota West, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
