Baseball Game Preview: Hardin-Jefferson Hawks vs. Tarkington Longhorns

For the second straight game, Hardin-Jefferson will face off against Tarkington. The Hawks will welcome the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hardin-Jefferson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Tarkington with a sharp 13-7 win on Tuesday. The Hawks have beaten the Longhorns the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Longhorns has come to flipping the script.

Brody Fontenot tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
