Faith Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-42 to Augusta Christian. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Augusta Christian is ranked 23rd).
Faith Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Haven Brannen, who scored 18 points, and Hagen Williams who scored 14 points. The match was Brannen's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Faith Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Augusta Christian, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will square off against Alleluia Community at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Augusta Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Ben Lippen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
