Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Immaculate Heart Central Cavaliers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Warriors on Wednesday, falling 72-34. Immaculate Heart Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.
It was another big night for Allison Lamora, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds for Indian River. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lamora has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Delles, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Immaculate Heart Central are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Indian River, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.
Immaculate Heart Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian River, they will square off against General Brown at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Indian River is coming into the contest with eight straight victories on the road, meaning General Brown will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
