If the Coram Deo Academy Lions were feeling good off their 69-27 takedown of Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Coram Deo Academy took a hard 71-56 fall against Grace Community on Friday. Coram Deo Academy has not had much luck with Grace Community recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Coram Deo Academy still got an impressive performance from Garrett Reid, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Barrett Brannan, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Coram Deo Academy dropped their record down to 9-17 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Grace Community, their win bumped their record up to 18-13.
Coram Deo Academy will head out on the road to challenge Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grace Community is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than King's Academy in Texas (Grace Community is ranked 717th, while King's Academy is ranked 1474th).
