Providence Classical will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th.
Providence Classical suffered their biggest loss since November 14, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 70-48 loss at the hands of Lee Park Prep. Providence Classical has struggled against Lee Park Prep recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Providence Classical's loss came about despite a quality game from Xan Rahalawicz, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. Rahalawicz hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Bryson Lahr was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Walnut Grove Christian posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 58-11 victory over Fletcher. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-6.
Providence Classical's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-5. As for Walnut Grove Christian, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10.
Everything came up roses for Providence Classical against Walnut Grove Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 58-29 win. With Providence Classical ahead 31-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
