 Margaretta's victory was  their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 17-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Vermilion, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
 Vermilion was dealt a bruising  83-42 defeat at the hands of Margaretta in their previous meeting  back in December of 2024. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Vermilion was down  51-25.
