They were the victim of a rough 84-58 loss at the hands of Centennial. Port St. Lucie has not had much luck with Centennial recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Port St. Lucie got a solid performance out of Ryan Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 50% of Port St. Lucie's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Javien Sapienza was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Harmony had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-49 victory over Celebration. Given Harmony's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Celebration is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Port St. Lucie's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-3. As for Harmony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
