Cook took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 29-6 margin over the Berrien Rebels. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Rebels are ranked 307th).

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Dawson Davis and Nigel Kenney. Davis rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries while Kenney rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cook will host Bainbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berrien, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lanier County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
