The Lakewood Tigers were the 66-34 winner over the Boulder Panthers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lakewood took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boulder. Lakewood found out winning isn't easy when your three-point shooting is a whole 24% worse than the opposition.
Dyani Parrish and Iben Last certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Parrish dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals, while Last scored 12 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Megan Matthews, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Remi Kingdom, who scored 12 points.
Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Boulder, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Lakewood will take on Adams City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Adams City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday. As for Boulder, they will be playing at home against Greeley West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
