The Raymond Seagulls will head out on the road to challenge the Chief Leschi Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Raymond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Raymond struggled with threes on Saturday (Aberdeen had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Raymond was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Aberdeen. Raymond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Christopher Quintana put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with seven steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Banker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chief Leschi entered their tilt with Summit Classical Christian School with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chief Leschi secured a 59-54 W over Summit Classical Christian School on Monday.
Raymond's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Chief Leschi, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Raymond beat Chief Leschi 51-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Raymond since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
