On Friday, the Weeki Wachee Hornets made easy work of the Orangewood Christian Rams and carried off a 42-16 victory. The Hornets pushed the score to 36-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had little chance of recovering from.
Leelen Wright had a dynamite game for Weeki Wachee, rushing for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Despite the loss, Orangewood Christian still got an impressive performance from Tre Roach, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown. Keelan Lechmaier made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
The win got Weeki Wachee back to even at 1-1. As for Orangewood Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
