Beloit got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Beisner out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Gerstner, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart made easy work of Thomas More Prep-Marian on January 5th and carried off a 66-43 win. Given Sacred Heart's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Thomas More Prep-Marian is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beloit's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Beloit took their win against Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 58-38. Will Beloit repeat their success, or does Sacred Heart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
